Gonkoora keerai kuzhambu





ingredients:

Gonkoora keerai                      - a small bundle
Thur dhal                                   - 4 tsp.sp
Onion                                         - 2
Samabar  powder                   - 11/2tsp.
Asafetida                                 - a bit
Red chilies                              - 2
Fenugreek seeds                  - ½ tsp
Mustard seeds                     - ½ tsp
Salt                                        - 2 tsp

 procedure


Cook the dhal separately and mash well. Wash the Kerri leaves and drain.  Oil them in a little water. Fry asafetida, red chilies, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds and chopped onions in a little  oil   until golden brown and add to the Kerri.  Add  samabar powder, salt and finally the dhal. Mix well and simmer in low fire for 10 to 15 mts. Dissolve one tsp. of rice flour in a little water and add. Remove from the fire after a while.
